"The Last Sin Eater" was fabulous! Clint and I arrived a half hour early to a long line. Our tickets were pre-purchased so that wasn't a worry but I was shocked at how many people there were. This movie wasn't even going to be shown in Quincy. However, the author of the book "The Last Sin Eater", Francine Rivers, has a good friend who lives in Quincy. The theater said that faith films never have a good turn out in Quincy. But this friend pushed to have it and they relented. They (the theater people) had to move the showing from one theater building because there were so many people who wanted tickets. I knew that ahead of time. What I didn't know was that they were showing it in TWO theaters! There were over 500 people who watched this film yesterday in Quincy. I wonder if they still think that faith films wouldn't do well. Neither of the movies even started on time because of the backlog of people at the concessions.
The movie itself was amazing. The acting was superb. The message was clear. The truth will set you free and the truth is in the Bible. No one can free you but Jesus. I am no movie critic so don't expect me to pick the movie apart. It was entertaining and completely drew me in from the first frame. During the credits all I could think about was how amazing God is. I wondered how many people who watched that movie with me didn't know that you only have to ask Jesus to forgive you and to come into your heart to gain eternity and be relieved of the burden of your sins. Those thoughts and feelings left me in tears. Please, if you can't see this movie in a theater be sure to rent it when it comes out on DVD.

Angie,
My name is Brian Bird, writer-producer of The Last Sin Eater. Along with my partner, Michael Landon, Jr., we want to thank you for braving the weather and lines to see our film. We had heard that Quincy was quite a hot spot for the film and we're honored that so many people would choose to see it. While the film was only in theaters for a short time, we heard from hundreds of people saying how much they were blessed and enjoyed the movie. We're hoping to build a groundswell of support for the DVD when it is released on May 15 The Last Sin Eater. We just believe this is a movie with a message that stirs of cravings in the hearts of both Christians and non-Christians alike. Thank you for getting the word out on our behalf. God bless you.
I'd not heard of this. I'll keep my eyes open in May
