This is The Day

Do you ever get a carton eggs that have a scripture written on the inside of the carton? It seems that there are several brands that do that. I was filling a recycled carton with eggs and the scripture was,
This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

This is not a new scripture to me at all. But that day it struck me in a different way. I have always thought of the day itself as being made by God. The weather, the way the sun rises and sets, the sun and the moon are all made by God. That way of thinking kept me content and smiling for years! But suddenly I realized that it isn't just the day it is how the day is played out. The paths we take, the roadblocks, the miracles, the conversations, the people we encounter that is all made by God! Wow! What a light bulb moment it was! I am to be glad in all that the day brings and how the day is presented, the whole package so to speak. So in my dealings today with the school principal and counselor I need to thank God. In the way that I sat for 35 minutes past my appointment time waiting to be seen, I need to thank God. In everything that makes up my day, good and bad, I need to thank God. It all comes from Him. Thank you, God!

Very nice sentiment. I'm not a very religious person, though spiritual, but this was just worded so right for me to connect...really nice. :)
