Kittens

It happens every single spring. Within a few week period, all of our female barn cats suddenly look like they have taken a bunch of Fenphedra and lost weight overnight. You would think we were running some sort of posh diet spa for cats, you know? In reality, it means that they have all had kittens. And so it is no different this spring. We currently have 2 litters of kittens with one more on the way. This year, though, I am bottle raising some of the kittens. Well, its really down to just one kitten as of yesterday. The litter was abandoned shortly after they were born. There were only 2 survivors left when we found them. I don't even know if they got any colostrum. So I wasn't too hopeful to start with and one died yesterday. So I am just down to one little boy kitten that I am feeding. Time will tell if he survives.
