Spring

Its funny how we moan about being in the dark most of the winter. Its as if Mother Nature bought some bad discount lighting. And then suddenly along about the end of February, we realize that we are waking up to the sun and we have more light at the end of our day. It just sneaks right up on us until we wonder what we were complaining about. And I am glad to say that I am no longer complaining about the lack of natural light! Yay for spring being on the verge of bursting forth!

StumbleUpon

I use StumbleUpon regularly. Pretty much every night while I am sitting with Tom while he watches tv. I usually click through sites that do weight loss pills reviews, have vulgar cartoons and the like. There are a ton of really great websites and blogs out there on SU though. I can spend hours just stumbling through websites enjoying the art, photography and excellent writing that is found on the internet.

Search

I am in the market for a couple of new light fixtures. I would like to replace the one in our upstairs hallway and the one in the kitchen. Actually I think that I could just replace the broken globe in the hallway light. That is if I can find one that will work with it. I may end up replacing the whole thing after all. The kitchen fixture is what really presents a challenge. I need to have a ceiling fan with a light that doesn't point straight down. You would not think that would be a hard bill to fill but it is. I have been looking for a few years and haven't been able to find anything I like.

On A Pedestal

I don't know why but one of the things that I thought was the cat's meow when I was a kid was Victorinox Swiss Army watches and knives. I think it probably it had to do with some older boy cousins that had them. Of course, they would not let their little girl cousin see those cool knives and watches. So, I put them up on a pedestal. Isn't it strange the things we remember from childhood?
