Portable Sink

After butchering yesterday, I am going to make it a point to try to find some old kitchen sinks that can be mounted on stands. That way we can do all of the butchering outside. I would just love to keep the mess of butchering out of my kitchen! I have seen pictures of setups that have used old stainless counters and sinks mounted on a stand made of 2x4's. The sinks were "plumbed" by attaching a garden hose to the faucet. When butchering is over the portable sinks are just moved into storage until the next time. That would be so nice!

Kicking The Habit

I am seriously just about ready to try something drastic like nuphedra to lose weight! I just can't seem to stay on track with a weight loss program. I have the desire to lose weight...to the point of dreaming about it. I just can't seem to kick the sweet tooth habit. I am not sure that a pill can even help me kick that. It is a psychological craving that I can kick only with careful management of food and a strong desire. I sure hope that I can do it!

Shoe Shopping

It is time to make our biannual trip to buy women's shoes. All of us girls are in need of summer sandals or flip-flops. And a couple of us need new sneakers. I have a love-hate relationship with shoe shopping. I love going and I hate having to spend the money. I am by no means a shoe fanatic. It is just that I don't often buy myself shoes. So when I go, it is like Christmas right up to the part I have to set all of those shoes down on the counter to be rung up. I have a feeling that it is going to be a big bill this year. Hopefully, I can make my sandals last me 2 or 3 years like I did with the last few pairs. I have no hope that the girls can do that. At least, I can save us a little cash.

Rain, Rain, Rain

If rain were a cancer, the Mesothelioma lawyers would be having a hay day here. We have had so many wet, rainy days that there are very, very few fields planted and we are already into May. We seem to be in a cycle of several days of heavy rain followed by a day or two of dry and them back to rain. There is just not enough time for things to dry up before it starts to rain again. Hopefully, we will be out of this pattern soon!
