Holiday Pattern
Now that Thanksgiving is over we are all turning out thoughts to Christmas. We have filled our bellies with turkey and pumpkin pie. We have braved the crowds at Black Friday shopping. We will be looking forward to a string of Christmas parties and holiday food. And then we will usher in a new year and the desire to lose weight and become a better person. I am sure that commercials for weight loss pills that work are at an all time high after the new year begins! It seems that the time between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day follows a pretty predictable pattern from year to year. We all love the comfort of knowing what to expect, don't you think?
Attitude
Wow. It seems that attitude is running rampant in my house. Is there something we can give kids to correct that? You can give kids shots of human growth hormone if their growth is lacking. So, why can't we give shots of attitude adjustment hormone when their attitudes take over the room? I sure could use some advice on how to solve this problem. I have been feeling so run over by attitude lately I am actually overwhelmed by it. If I am overwhelmed by it, then surely the kids are. Its got to be hard work to keep up an attitude for an extended length of time!
Weight
One of my girls has lost some weight recently. Unfortunately, this child has no business losing weight. I want to be clear that she has not been taking fat burners or any other sort of weight loss pills or doing anything else to lose this weight. However, it is a concern when your child is suddenly 5lbs underweight. She has been working to put at least 5lbs back on. What a crazy thing this is!
Spending and Christmas
Tis the season to spend and spend and spend. We have been much more diligent about using cash for all or most of our Christmas shopping in the last several years. I am certain that there are a lot of folks who feel that a cash advance is the only way to manage Christmas these days. I am glad that we made the decision to put money into a Christmas Club account every week. I know that it isn't the best way for everyone but it works well for us. It happens whether I think we have the money to put away or not. It takes that decision away from me which is very helpful. We also use some of Tom's Christmas bonus to pay for Christmas. Next year I am going to work hard at just spending less on Christmas.

Ugh
At this moment, I feel like I have been kicked in the gut. No need for Diet pills fat burners. None at all. I don't think I could eat if I tried. I wish I could share what has caused this feeling. I cannot. I can only say that I feel like I have been kicked in the gut and had my heart stepped on all at once. I just hope that things will change or at least I will understand them.
Cold
I certainly have not been in need of a sleep aid lately. Nope. I have contracted my first cold of the season. It is currently kicking my hiney! My colds have taken on a predictable pattern in the last several years. First, I start with insane sneezing. I never used to sneeze very often at all. Now, I sneeze like crazy with a cold. Soon, my nose gets stuffy and my ears plug up. Then it moves down into my chest with congestion and coughing. I get a dry throat and extreme fatigue. I am at the chest, dry throat, fatigue stage now. All I want to do is sleep! At some point today, I will give in to that desire. I know in the end I will get over this thing faster if I sleep.
Meaties
I am really looking forward to being done with meat birds for the year. We ordered another round of 50 meat chicks in September. I am wishing now that we had ordered them a month earlier. Its getting kind of late in the year to be dealing with outdoor butchering! However, sometime in the next 2 or 3 weeks we will be butchering all of these birds. They had better start their funeral planning because it is inevitable! I am hoping that we can sell most of them so I can buy some more hay.
