Indulging

It is the time of year for indulgence. We indulge in spending and giving and eating. And come January we will all be shaking our heads at the bills, wondering where to put all of the junk we got as gifts that we don't need and wondering if we should buy the best weight loss pills. I am trying to not get all wrapped up in indulging this season. I want it to be meaningful and treasured. I don't want it to be just another reason to overspend, overgive and overeat! I am trying to keep my focus on "the reason for the season".

Gaming Systems

Yep, I've been doing some Christmas shopping like most of the rest of the folks in this country. My kids would love to have a PS3 or Wii. It is almost always on one of their lists. However, my husband is highly opposed to gaming systems. Really, I wouldn't want a PS3. I would love to have a Wii though. All of the kids could play games together. They have done that at a friend's house and have had a ball doing it. I have a feeling that we are fighting a losing battle and we will never get one.
